This ARD production is the first big shoot, spanning 19 shooting days, for our 15-year-old Marlon Heidel — and right away in southern Italy, in Apulia. It is fun, adventure and an extended holiday, but also a great responsibility and plenty of schoolwork once shooting wraps for the day. His character, Julian, is a musical, sensitive teenager full of self-doubt, who does not yet quite know where he is heading in life — and here in the photo with his on-screen mother Rosa, played by Clelia Sarto.
Nanny Henni ends up in Italy on the vineyard of a hippie family. Mother Rosa, father Benno and three children get by rather well on winegrowing and the inherited Schlager royalties of Benno's father.
The children may have their little quirks, but on the whole the family seems happy. Henni is sceptical: what do they even need her for here?
