With the PRIVATTHEATERTAGE and the MONICA BLEIBTREU PREIS, we want to honour the achievements of Germany's private theatres and bring them to a broad audience. For the theatre-makers themselves, the festival also offers the chance for artistic exchange and for strengthening their networks," says Axel Schneider of the Hamburger Kammerspiele. "Achtung Deutsch!" is about a multicultural flat-share of five students from five countries, who have settled into low-rent social housing. A madcap and entertaining take on the migration debate.
